Bassists! Amp Suggestions

Hey guys,

I may be joining a touring band here pretty soon, so if i make the audition, i was wondering what kind of amps i should be looking at for an allowance of around $500-650?

may not be a lot to work with, but any good suggestions? I'm trying to go for more of a good rock sound, but punchy, because i want it to stick out yet fill its own space.

And I'm running an ESP B-1, which is essentially ESP's version of the Stingray with an alder LP Doublecut Junior body.

I like the Ampeg B2RE for that money, or some of the Carvin stuff for that much or a little more.
