  • New Metal Pedals- Which One?

Looking for the best metal tone I can get from my Carvin SX200D. (2x12x100W).

Picking from one of these pedals:

    Electroharmonix Metal Muff
    T-Rex Bloody Mary
    Damage Control Solid Metal (Tube)
    Landmine LD-1
    Protone Body Rot II
    Seymour Duncan TwinTube

I am currently set on the Damage Control pedal. Any recommendations?

I'm also in the market for a good distortion stomp box. I'd like to hear any recommendations.

Has anyone tried the Krank Distortus Maximus? I have the urge to buy it based on the name alone.

Uh, that's the recipe for a clean boost of sorts....I don't think that's what he's looking for.

I've tried several and I'm still a huge fan of the Zoom 5000.

clean boost on a distorted channel is the only way to go.

For a tube amp, yeah. He's prolly looking to use a metal pedal through his clean channel on a SS amp.

I've used the Boss Metal Zone for years, good pedal. But recently I've switched to the Line 6 Uber Metal, for the money it's the best Metal Pedal.
With three completely different modes & Noise Gate for the money it's hard to beat! I run my pedals thru a Marshall JCM800 head & half stack.

Create, record and perform with guitar in new ways.

Well, the Ubermetal looks and sounds pretty good. It seems like I saw that Art Xtreme pedal in a catalog a few months ago, did they rerelease it?
