There is no way in hell I could bring myself to buy a plastic pedal. You stand on it for christ's sake! I was thinking about picking up a couple of them for backups, but not anymore.

I don't know about YOU, but I normally stand on the floor. I STEP on the pedals.

never tried any of them. i've heard good stuff about them.

i'm really not a pedal snob. i still use danelectro french toast and rocky road pedals. they're cheap plastic pedals but sound fantastic.

if you were to look at my current pedalboard you'd see mostly boss and mxr pedals - not exactly snob stuff

Zeeg - what type of effects were you looking for? I bet the peanut gallery here could advise regarding some good low cost pedals that will also work as a weapon in a bar fight.

I was just looking at getting some decent backups for if and when my regular ones take a shit. My Boss NF1, and SD1 are the most crucial. I can probably find decent used ones on ebay.

Probably your best bet. You're getting good and bad reviews on the Behringers. They might be fine for a couple of years, but how about the long run? That's the typical problem with Behringer gear, it fails in a year or 2.

Meanwhile my SD-1, which I bought used in 1985 for $30, is still going strong!

If people like the Behringers, great! But wouldn't it be ironic if you bought some as backups, and when you needed them a couple years from now, they didn't work?

I've had my Behringer mixer for over 7 years, and have not had one problem. Same with my Hellbabe wah. I DO admit that their product CAN be hit or miss.

Well, their amps have a 30-day warranty at GC! 30 days is pretty poor faith in your workmanship. I'm happy you've had reliable service from your mixer and wah, but as you said, it's hit or miss.

I wouldn't buy one of their amps, anyway. Not very impressed with the tones.

You know i would stay away form all Behringer\ s crap . This is a comapany that i really don\t like .

BUT imo some of their cabs sound better than the new marshall\s and are a lot cheaper.

BS. I have been using a Behringer board for a live PA now for 4 years. Not one problem and sounds WAY better than the Yamaha it replaced...cheaper too!

I'm not 100% down on Behringer. I have one of their power amps and it's been great. I had a V-Amp for a long time - I thought it sounded really good.

I had one of their multi-channel powered PA heads. It was OK - a little bit more hiss than you really want but it was still usable.

I had one of their bass heads - it went back the next day because the amp wouldn't turn off. It was junk.
