I used it on my four years at college and loved it. I realize it is not precisely an amp but it served the purpose.

Indeed, I used a rockman through a decent pair of stereo computer speakers, it served it's purpose.

Yeah, check out the Vox Valvetronix stuff....they have a knob on the back to roll the wattage all the way down to like 1/2 watt. So you can the cranked tone at a very reasonable level.

The roland cubes are also quite nice.

for guitar lessons and living room practice i put my pod 2.0 rignt into my computer and out the speakers, sounds killer and better then any little tube amp will ever sound!

My rig through college was a POD 2.0 into my computer's speakers or my headphones.
