How about getting an EQ pedal? I've played through the Micro Cube, and I can't imagine a Metal Zone being much different - for better or worse - than the onboard high-gain distortion. The Metal Zone is useful for more than just the scooped-mid sound due to its own EQ, but a GE-7 or equivalent will give you a lot more room for adjustment.

Thanks for the help guys (not being sarcastic)

Since I now relaize that the Metal Muff might be the same or worse than the Metal Zone, I am looking into a EQ pedal or a Damage Conrol Solid Metal or Demonizer because both are all tube pedals.
