I like JMP-1's I think they sound better with a little bit of FX though, they're a little dry sounding with just the preamp into the power amp and nothing else. Here's a pic of a tone sucking JMP-1...
BTW..I drive a '93 Ford Tempo with a flapping quarter panel..with a sticker of Calvin peeing on the words "Rap Music" on my rear window ..
This is true..

I agree , what you like is the best for you. However, some serious misconceptions. Reb Beach and Doug Aldrich DO NOT play jcm2000 Marshalls. They favor the older ones, heavily modified too, from what I read on Reb's website. Also, I will always promote Soldano amps, as in my 18 yrs. of playing , nothing has knocked me out like hearing one. I'm just suggesting to anyone "unhappy" with their tone that they shouldn't buy another amp wthout plugging into into one to see what Soldano has to offer. Even if it's not your thing, at least you will NEVER regret hearing a cranked SLO100,,,,,,,,,,, I admit, if I had the cash, I'd probably have a few heads in my collection from different companies,,,,but the SLO would never be absent from my collection. Simply an amp I need around for the rest of my life. Even if you love your setup, get out and play some other amps anyway. But there is also a lot to be said for defining your sound, your style, and sticking with the amp that represents you best, even when there are a lot of great amps out there. I'll be first to agree that there are definitely a lot of great amps out there.

Cool, your right, I run the Marshall JFX-1 with mine..just for delay ..and I throw a BBE 422 in the loop..it beefs up the bottom..but use it gingerly otherwise it will get pretty bloated..The Marshall accepts the BBE..not all amps do.
My Uber hates it, but it has enough bottom..helps the Marshall keep up with it with the lows..
I played with a 2/90 Mesa ..pretty nice, I liked it..does that sound pretty similiar..it's the only Mesa poweramp I tried..it sounded nice.

Yeah I talked to Reb for quite a while ..He uses his JCM 800 for recording and that his main baby..but he beats on the 2000s live..
You don't have to sell me on Soldano. I had two cheaper ones the HR100 and the Korean made 60..pretty cool. Nothing like the SLO tho..IMO.
Whenever I had my mits on one..it always sounded exactly like the Scorpions "Blackout" tone to me..I haven't had my hands on one for quite a while..but I always think of that with the SLO.
I don't know if the SLO would be the right amp of choice for me these days..Pete says I would love the Avenger. GC is supposed to be a dealer now, it'll be cool if they got one in..I'd love to try one!

The software version 2.5 designates how many times betterer my amp is than yours. nah nah nah-nah nah.
That is pretty funny Tim.
Personally.. I think both of our amps smoke Bills Goobershall.
Uber? Feh. RM? Are you fucking kidding me Tim? Vetta..pleeeaasse, John.
All your amps are belong to this. Live it, pussies.
Sorry to burst your bubble but your amp sounds like it should be in the bedroom. I have a great idea to make it more useful. Gut it out and use it as a lunchbox. :ROTF:
