Mark IV's clean channel

older MB Marks have warmer and more Fenderish clean than IV wich is more like Roland Jazz Chorus.

You have to decide wich tone you like more. Warm is good for SRV clean tone and country, SSish tone is good for progressive rock like Rush where you add tons of delay and chorus.

I personally perfer the warm fender tone but sometimes I need some Hi-Fi clean tones too.
And like Mark, I'm anal about clean tones too, probably one of the reasons why I'm not the biggest Marshall fan
