Umm...I have had all three. The one I kept is the GS10 because of the form factor. Other than a feature differences they sound pretty much the same.

The COSM modeling is pretty much the same in all the units..that doesn't vary much between the chassis.. which seemingly were all developed as housings with variant features for different applications. Yeah, the stock patches may be different or have differing names.. but IMO, the thing that makes the GS10 really flexible is the software edit of the base modeler sounds that exist in all those of that era. The GP100 is also in this group IMO.
If that is what you consider form factor, I agree.

What about the GT PRO? Any good or is the GT-6 or 8 better.. Cause I'm looking for something to use with my Laney VC50. Don't need any gain cause I'm happy-pappy with the Laneys tone, just looking for effects

The GT-PRO is the top of the line. It's got all the features of all of them and then some. It's badass. Really. It's great. I've seriously considered ditching my PODxt Pro for this but that won't work out financially too well unfortunately.

When I said I preferred the GS-10 form factor I was referring to the size/shape of the unit. It sits nicely on my desk and takes up very little room. I just use it for practicing and recording so I don't need footswitching and such. I think it's a great unit.

I've re-done it a few times, using jgcables advice and running it through the loop on my marshall...it is extremely quiet when run through the loop.

                  Not sure what's wrong...

i know a guy who swears by the Gt-6. and he refuses to use an amp, just runs that sole gt-6 to a DI.

                    weird cat.

What's the advantage of using the loop? It sounds very nice going in to the amp.

I still can't get it to work and hear the guitar at a normal level using the loop. It doesn't act like this using the direct input. Something wrong with my amp maybe?

JGcable, step in here any time please
