Ok, I did like the amp models in the POD and XTL, but I've got all the FX I could ask for in the Digitech TSR12 and GSP-21 Legends that I have.

I'm happy with the ADA MP-1 as a preamp as well, but let's be honest here, I'm a Gear Slut

Anyone ever compared an AM-4 to a POD or XTL? Is it just the amps section from a POD or does the POD have better models?

I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

The AM4 has a few of the models the POD has -- kind of a "Best Of" if you will. I think there's 16 amp models there, and I'm betting they are probably from the original POD. See this auction for what amp models it has: http://cgi.ebay.com/Line-6-AM-4_W0QQ...QQcmdZViewItem

Looks like a good selection to me... That would be all I need. They did discontinue this one relatively quickly though. I wonder why that is? I suppose for what you pay for it, you may as well get a POD, since for $50 more, you get all the effects as well.
