On one hand I've read that there is more unused processing power in the Vetta chip yet to be exploited, and yet there have been plenty of rumors about a next-generation Vetta/PODxt replacement out there (they use basically the same processor).
I can't speak about the Vetta, but I think the PODxt is getting a bit long in the tooth--the Zoom G9.2tt kicks its butt in terms of sound quality, with a much newer processor.
