      I find that leaving my Pod on really makes it sound good - I think the tubes get warmer...

            i left my XTL plugged in in my basement when it flooded. (power was off but still attached to the outlet) it was under 15-18 inches of dirty water.

            i let it dry for 7 days and it now works fine.

              There is no study that I know of that confirms that SS parts last longer if left on. We used to reapir monitors for the 9/11 center that had a whole list of parts that would wear out due to being on all the time. Granted there is stress on components during warmup, but there is also stress on components that are constantly on.
