I wouldn't run the AXON in your FX loop. Synths need full range amp/speakers.

btw, when did Petrucci sound like a synth?

And a Keyboard amp will handle the synth, or pipe it out to the p.a.

Alternatively, you can run the synth into a graphic EQ and drop the full-range freqs your guitar cab can't handle. It'll limit the range of your synth tones, but your cabinet will live to tell the tale
