I wish I had the know how to be an amp Dr. But, I will play with it a bit and turn the knobs to clean them up. And play it for a few hours. If it blows up on me, that's cool. But, those old Amp guys will just eat this up.:ROTF: :ROTF:

Thanks Guys. This is no Oud whatever that $3,600 was. That was the score of all scores. Just hit every garage sale you see.

We need Mr. Graphic to weigh in on this thing. He's a big Dano expert.

Fett, GOOD JOB!!! Look on the outside rim of the speaker for an inked on code. I can date it for you. Probably early-mid 50's.

I couldn't see the code. The control panel must be in the way and I don't want to take it off. The knobs are bakelite. I concur with your date estimate.

I haven't really tested completely yet. Right now, it sounds like it hasn't been used in 30 or so years.:ROTF: :ROTF:

Great score. I don't know jack about old amps, how much do these go for?

The coolest garage sale score I've heard of was a guy on Jemsite (maybe someone that posts here too, I don't remember his username) that picked up a Jem 7PBK (black w/white pyramids and the large handle) for $80!!

I know people find great stuff/deals at garage sales and pawn shops but I've had no luck with either, always a bunch of crap (and overpriced at the pawn shops). Guess I have to keep trying......

My little amp is outside purring right along. I'm going to let it run for a few hours. If it's going to blow, I'll now in a while.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: Just checked and it has the famous 60 cycle hum. Rats.

I'll try and get the admins to move my "Never pass up a garage sale" thread up here. Need a few tips and advice.
