Sheesh... almost any decent amp has a unique sound. Since everyone's covering the metal amps, here's some others which definitely have their own sound:

    Fender Vibro-Verb/Sonic/King/Champ
    Fender Twin Reverb
    HiWatt 100
    Soldano SLO-100

HiWatt is a good choice. You can hear that and a Rectifier from a mile away, and it's easy to know exactly what they are.

all of mine have character and sound nice to my ears

          JCM 800 2203
          Mesa/Boogie DC-5 (widebody combo)
          VHT 50 CL w/EQ+REV
          Bogner Ecstasy 101B
          Splawn QuickRod

Something more important than your amp to "stand out" is your guitar playing If you got it going on in that department then the amp isn't quit that important

I used to buy all the RG80s. I could find..I had 'em on all colors..Red, fake Snakeskin, White, Black, grey Ozite..ect..

Used to buy them for under 200 buck s all day long...

They don't really hang with a loud drummer tho, even with a 4 12" Marshall cab..

My Engl SE since its the only amp I've ever had for more than six months with no problems and haven't grown bored of. So many knobs and buttons that each time I play, I find a new tone.

I'd like to here Jimmy's amp..

                            that beotch is expensive!!

But I bet it's worth every penny to Jim..

All amps have their own voice..even two of the same models at times..especially Marshalls.

I had five 5150s..I was partial to one ..the others all sounded identical..the difference was so subtle ..I don't think anyone could really notice..it just felt different to me..same with my two Lee Jackson VL100s and Marshall 2210s..

There was a good reason for the Ampegs ..one had EL34s , the other 6550s..I liked the 6550's with that head..The EL34 one caught on fire..
