Crate Power Block's pretty cool

I just got a Crate Power Block after reading some reviews on it. It's a pretty cool little unit. For the price, it's pretty killer. The clean tones are nice and with the gain dimed, you get some pretty cool old school metal tones. I'm currently plugging it into a single 12 with an Eminence Delta Pro and it sounds really good. I now have to try to see if I can get it working well with my Pox XLT. The bad thing is that all line and CD ins seem to be after the Master, so I have to find a way to limit the input.

Other than that, it's a pretty neat little unit.

Yeah, I dig mine. It does sound nice, and definitely needs an OD pedal for more gain, but I primarily use it as a power amp to run another cab off of my THD Univalve head. I haven't tried it yet with my Boss GT8, but I really need to. I'll have to play around with it later.

i'm digging mine. it has taken over for live gigs.
i just switch my xtl to amp instead of line, run it into the front and use the gain and level to fill out the room.

How do you set your tone controls? All at 12 o'clock? Do you have the speaker sim turned on?

I got one to power a PA speaker from my Akai DSP16. Got it on the $99 deal.
It is one of the coolest things out there for the price.

Yeah, I got one on the $99 deal too. Ive got it hooked up with my Vamp pro as a power amp and it works great. Ive only got a 1x12 line 6 cab with the line6 speaker but it still sounds cool.

yes, tone controls at noon. speaker sim off (really that is up to you).
xtl set to pwr stack.

I use one with a pod xt live and I got it dialed in great.
