I didnt wanna hijack any threads, so here's mine;
JG, I love the samples of your patches, the few I've heard anyways. Can you give me some eq-ing tips, to obtain the nice transparent sound? I love how I have my rhythm sound setup, but I cant seem to get a nice smooth, grainy lead tone. I use seperate channels for lead and rhythm, and the Soldano X88R is the model of choice.
Try as I may, I cant seem to get the lead sound I want. It always seems kind of brittle, bordering on harsh. I'm not very good at tweaking the parametric eq atm, which is where the tweaking most likely needs to be done.
Anyone have any general eq-ing guidelines for getting a nice smooth tone outta my Vetta? Or even amp model suggestions that might get me closer to the sound I'm looking for?
