Boss does make sweet sounding effects. Over the years I have always liked there stuff. But there is alot to be said about true bypass. You would think Boss of all effects people would have all there effects true bypass. I heard none of them are.

Still the GT8 I may see if I can bring one home and hear it on my amp wired in the 4 cable method. It would be very Intresting to see. I also wonder if there are any updates for the GT8 like Line 6 does. Something very cool about being able to download new effects without having to buy more gear. Thats very cool and I wish there pedal board was able to be wired in the 4 wire method. Effects routing is cridical when your trying to use a multichannel amp.

I don't want all of my pedals to be true bypass. One or two buffered pedals in your chain can be a good thing, and depending on the length of your cables, can actually retain your tone better than an all true bypass chain.
