      A chorus pedal repeats the note you play, but slightly detuned, and layers it on top of the original note.

      Kind of hard to explain. Look up some chorus pedals on www.musiciansfriend.com and look for sound samples.

        Yeah, as far as I´ve understood the technical stuff a chorus is simply a slight layered detuning of the signal. As with most stuff concerning gear the simplest way to get working knowledge about something is to try one out... you should be able to try a variety of models out at your nearest store.

          Think of it like a chorus group... more than one person singing at a time. It gives a fuller sound.

              Listen to the intro to "Come As You Are" by Nirvana. Thats a classic chorus sound. (not a flange pedal as the messed up tab books say btw)
