I have a framus cobra that has this scratchy hissing sound on all channels regardless of volume or gain settings. it does it even when no guitar is hooked up. i have tryed 2 different sets of preamp and poweramp tubes and it still happens. i know the guitar wiring is correct, the cabs is good as well as the cables since i have tryed them out with other amps and have no such problems. the noise gets worse with more volume and gain, but it does it on the lowest gain and te lowest volume settings as well. I have checked the bias andit is within spec.
Framus is sending me out a new cobra that should arrive this week.
Does anyone have a guess as to what could be wrong?
i could send out schematics if needed. i have a little electronics background but not a whole lot of troubleshooting.
