some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

I use an SD-1 right now, but I have a Yngwie pedal on the way. Anyone ever used one?

It only works well with tube amps though.

Any Bad Monkey users ever try the Death Metal version..it has a three band eq section..that may be would be too hairy for what I'm looking for..unless I use it on the clean channel I never use..
My JMP-1 has a "classic" Marshall gain..not nearly as heavy as the Uber..but due to the diode clipping ..it's very harmonic friendly..making pinch harmonics a breeze...I can squeal any note with that thing..
John's bud mods pedals..my friend uses it for everything..his sound is basically that moded pedal into anything he plays thru..a TS-9 I think.
The BBE Clean Boost suppose to not color the sound..but I haven't found anything that doesn't when putting it in the chain.."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

I know it makes a difference when activated..definitely more "oomph".
I loved the active pups is my G & L Basses.. they were very hot ..and I NEVER played them passive."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"

I have a Tube Screamer TS-7 (my fave of the bunch, very versatile), a Blues Driver (very subtle) and a Heavy Metal (not really an OD, more of a distortion and fuzz, but it can also be used as a clean boost). I play blues and classic metal. My main amp is a Soldano Astroverb.

Boss GE-7 works great and very adjustable. I am using a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster pedal right now and it is really nice. It does not color the sound to much at all. Pain in the ass to change a battery though. You have to take the pedal apart. The tones rock though. Gives a huge DB boost which is awesome with a tube amp. Works ok with the Line 6 I have but works better with a tube amp. These both can be used for clean or od stuff too. That makes them winners in my book.
The silver mod Analog man Tubescreamer was a good one for me too. Transparent enough and gave a good searing lead tone. I like the Boss SD1 too but it colors your tone alot and is not really transparent at all. You know when it is on to say the least. Either you like it or you dont I guess.Last edited by Firebird V; 12-21-2006, 08:09 AM.

my Fulltone Fat Boost into my ENGL
preamp. Yields a lot more OOMPH
to the sound of an already-hot-as-
hell preamp. Tone knob is very
effective as an extra Presence control.
Quality built and boutique snob appeal.
And if you don't like it, you can turn around
and sell it for darn near what you paid...
