He's getting a Uberschall..like John Shaffer uses in Ripper's other band ummm..named Iced Earth.

He toured with Ripper for two months and played Framus, VHTs, Engls, Deizels ..played mine and decided this is what he wants...

He's coming by this weekend..I'll be going to their stidio to start laying down track swith their drummer..that's a good thing..yes?

I've owned 3 Quick Rods including the newest version with 4 preamp tubes and a Spawn modded 1987X Marshall head. They all sounded great. They nail the plexi tone, brown sound and modified jcm 800 sounds and do them very well. I have nothing bad too say about Scott's amps but just need more than what they offer.

The Mesa Dual rec has it's place, I've owned 3 of them but never kept any of them very long cause I got sick of that tone really fast.

I had an Uber, but it wasn't my bag.

Having had those heads and many others, I'm now using the carvin V3, this head covers all those type of sounds and than some. It absolutely kicks ass.

I had a couple of buddies that play and came to hear me play with my new band recently and they each ordered themselves a V3 after hearing my tone.(Don't judge an amp by sound clips on the net) These guys did and were shocked when they heard it live.

The Ecstasy is just an amp I've always wanted so I worked out a deal for one, "A very special one". I think the amp will be right up my alley. I'll let you guys know once I get it and fire it up.

What can I say...I'm a fussy bastard and love gear.

I have had a modded marshall by splawn, great amp, but liked the XTC alot better.

Now I have to admit, I would like to try a true splawn amp, one they made like the QR or Pro.

when it comes down to it, if you want a great sounding amp with not as many options and you are on a slight budget, go for the splawn, if you want a amp that sounds great with many options, then go for the XTC.

I miss my Uber somedays, but I am back in Rec heaven with R0005, they are not joking when they say there is something special about the first 500. You might even change your mind after playing one, you in the DC area look us up, we can all get together and bash heads.

I wonder if there is anything special about early Ecstasy 101B with the white Chassis top and back? The one I have coming is serial number 28 loaded with all options and metal front grill.
