Even if the modules were assembled in the U.S. I have no doubts that the components on the circuit boards were all made in China. Honestly I don't see a problem with Chinese-made products. China's economy is the fastest growing economy in the world right now. Their quality levels have gone way up in the past decade.

As I said, I didn't ever look to see where mine was made, just that the modules all said Made in USA and I only now that because they were pretty big stickers relative to the size of the modules. At this point I would guess my RM100 was also made in China.Ron is the MAN!!!!

Tim, what did you not like about your RM100? Not to do a huge subject change, I'm just curious. I liked mine plenty until I started putting stuff in the loop.

Works both ways, ever since dad saved up and splurged and a brand new usa strat that was sent with the wrong colour and a shitty nut he's been big into jap stuff
That said, people would boycott jap stuff in the day for similar reasons. I rekon its a case of the unknown being all dodgey, with a chunk of those fucking ebay auctions. If not for china/cheap labor, america and the rest of us wouldn't be in the position we are. I'm dead against chinese guitars, but when it comes to anything with electronics theres no garuntee. Whilst not being chinese specifically, theres a good chance most of the circuitry is taiwanese (home of most if not all the pc memory at one point? Amongst other componentry) so it becomes a moot point imo. Its just not viable specifically not financially viable, to live morally or with stern ethic. Ask your vice president

I know what you mean about your questions of principles. I know I can't possibly live without Chinese made products, but I choose my battles and guitar gear happens to be one of them.
That being said, here is my firsthand experience with China. In the factory I visited (Industrial Machinery), workers live at the factory and work 28 out of 30 days per month. The standard workday is as follows: 7:30 - 11:00, 12:30-16:30, 19:00 - 22:00. That is the normal workday, not including overtime. All that for a couple hundred US dollars per month. I do know that the labor market is getting a little tighter in China as the factory workers are starting to get tired of the factory owners making piles of money off of their labor, so the workers are asking for higher wages. Cheaper labor is getting a littler harder to find in China and China is certainly not the last untapped cheap labor market.
