My bud/surveillance operator who doesnt play anything said..."That guys tone is like a heavier VH tone". He was trying to say he knew it was different but had the same kind of vib...

ps...I explained it was just messing around to get levels...lol

Right Dave..if I were to record a "solo" it wouldn't be a gay, fucked up eruption "corruption"..I got my A game riffs..

I didn't want to post that because of the gay playing..but it does show what a Uberschall sounds like with the gain all the way up..see, 100% usuable gain..listen, you can actually hear the pick attack!!

With that said, the Uberschall could soud like Dokken, Ratt, VH ect.. easily..by backing off the lows and gain..but I have a Marshall for that stuff...so

Wow Bill ! Thanks, that clip sounds great. I think you need to replace Eddie, and you, Wolfgang and Alex can hang out on stage and take the show on the road Amazing tone coming through on a MP3. It must sound awesome in person!

Don't know about the older version but I have the Revision Blue Uber. Its an awesome amp! My band does mostly 80's covers and I think it sounds just fine for VH, Dokken, Ozzy, etc... Sure the Ecstacy has more options but the distortion channel on the Uber is what I was after and nothing touches the Uber in that department
I run my gain at about 2:00 O'clock not maxed like Bill. There is no bad setting on this monster! Sometimes I swear I could just randomly spin the knobs and good tone will blare through no matter what
I run mine through a Mesa 4x12 cab with V30 speakers but I really would like to get an Uberkab. Maybe Bill Z Bub's friend with the endorsement will take care of all us Bognerites here

                  Thanks man..replace Ed , nah..I'll replace Wolfie..I certainly could do better..but that's Mike's role, he's 1/4 VH IMO!!

My bud just said "just play somethin" to get a level check..that's the tone on my demo. I wasn't warmed up or even close to serious..actually that was pretty bad, and I feel gay...I have solos to record, that's not one of them.

The REASON I posted this was to show the Uber's gain is 100% usable..from AC/DC to VH to what you hear on that MP3 ..that's all the gain you're going to get from a Uber.

It's not like some amps such as the 5150 or Recto that mushes up past 60% ..I recently found you can max a JSX too, and I like that!!

All the Uber owners I've talked with NEVER use the amps full potential. This puzzles me, because people who buy them usually go for a "brutal" tone..after 4 years I discovered that's the only way I get it...without a stomp.

I think it's a little weird to rely on a $50 stomp for a $3000 amp that doesn't require it..but that's just me. I'll try one for the hell of it ..but why???!!

To have a quality hand wired, high quality, high gain, all tube monster, then cheap fuzz box it. I did that with some amps long ago with old Marshalls and TS9s, OD-1s and ect...but this is no Marshall..

It sounds awesome in person, especially with the tube upgrade. I do have a knack to get the best from a amp..so does C-John.

                  I've tweaked alot of my friend's shit for them..and it's their shit...but that's cool...it's fun!!

Bill's got an Uber? No way! What do you think about it? Is it better than a Peavey Bandit? Does it have enough gain? Have you tried changing the pre-amp tubes? Is it sort of ok? (...runs for cover)

It all sounds great to me Bill! Yeah, you could replace Wolfie! That's an idea. You'd have to get another G & L L-2000 bass though The Uber sounds great. I'd call it a Marshall on steroids, but that description wouldn't give the amp justice.

That's a good description..it does everything a Marshall does..just BIGGER, FATTER and lots more CRUNCH!!

I got two Marshall stacks standing right next to it..I know this!

John was here jammin' with Vinny.. damned thing sound like Sabbath/Trouble on steroids..sounds ginormous!!

Yeah, I gota get a G& L and start spankin' wood again..I need a bass for recording anywhoo..

Very Nice..I'd love to hear your band..sounds kick ass. It does 80's metal good ..actually too good.

My JMP-1 does 80's perfect..The Uber just does it better, that's why it doesn't sound like the 80's..they didn't have this killer, big ass tone back then..that's the truth!!!

Wanna sound like the 80's??.. back of the lows all the way to 0..there ya go..now play Round and Round..there it is..perfect!

The v2 Uber has a leather handle, a different gain taper than does the v1 allowing for more subtle tweaks of gain. I have the v2 and I guess on the v1 you couldn't tell much difference in gain between 9 O'Clock and 2 O'Clock (or something like that).

The v3 (Blue) Uber has a new bass taper (you guessed it, allowing for more subtle tweaks of the bass), and send level for the FX loop and external bias test points. It is also supposed to be a little more "bright" sounding. Oh, and the power lamp is...BLUE!
