Are any of you addicted to Headphones?

Boy, i sure get into a trance using headphones with my Boss GT-8 !
Wish this exact sound could be transferred to my Marshall 4x12.
I sound 3 times better than i really am! Anyone else dig the direct
stereo vibe?

I hate headphones myself. I feel like I have a bucket over my head when I record, half of the time if I can crank the amp I dont even bother with them.

I also hate headphones, i like my music loud, at least through the speakers i can hear someone banging on the door, maybe.

Get yourself a pair of digitial reference monitors for your GT-8 if you really like that sound. I have a GS-10 and I go into a set of reference monitors and I like it better than running my GS-10 into an amp. I don't like headphones either.

Yeah, my XT Live also sounds great through headphones, and equally great through decent computer speakers (Klipsch 2.1 - $150/set). I don't like wearing the headphones, with the cord hanging, so I use the computer speakers and really like that. You might, too.

I have always liked my modelling stuff more when going into real speakers (like computer speakers or monitors) than into headphones.
Maybe because my headphones are so good and transparent that I can hear all the digital fizz with them.

Listening to music however is a completely different thing!

Oh wait, and my Yamaha Clavinova also sounds way better through headphones.

I hate headphones. It just sounds completely differant - not in a good way.

Every time I use them to mix something, it sounds like crap when I play it back through "real" speakers.

Hey Robert Burns, I also own a GT8 and don't like it much with headphones. I prefer playing it with my Marshall or my lil' Epiphone tube amp.

Would it be possible for you to share some of your favorite patches? I'd be curious to try them out with my GT8? Let me know.

I prefer to use my amp with my GNX-1, but 99% of the time I have to use headphones when I play at home.
The only time I can really play is after my 3 year old daughter goes to bed. So that means headphones are a must.
I'm just used to them now. I run the cord down my back so it's not in the way.

I bought a digitech RP pedal a couple years ago and didn't play through an amp for almost a year (until I got into another band). The great thing about that and some headphones is you can dial in any sort of tone and wail away, but the only thing anyone else hears is the sound of an unplugged electric.

i use the headphones with a nobels sound stuio 1 for late nite wailing - sounds great - i don't prefer it to cranked amp tone but it serves its purpose
