Problem with my setup (Voodu + Peavey 50/50)

Hi People,
Is there any difference between poweramps that use EL34 tubes and the ones that use EL84's in terms of getting harmonic squealing sounds? Or does this entirely depend on other factors such as the preamp, etc?

No, I don't think it's the power amp's fault. I'm running an Engl E530 preamp -> Peavey 50/50 Classic Power Amp and I can squeal all day long if I want. I could probably do it for a whole week if you asked me to

Start looking at your guitars and pups... they will have the most impact here. Have you tested it using different guitars with different pups?
