  • Mesa Boogie Green/Blue Stripe??

What is the deal with the Boogie Green or Blue stripe what does it mean?

  • #2
Mark 3's went through some changes during their lifetime, this page has a breif history.

Edit, I'm assuming you are referring to the Mark 3 series. My long time keeper was a blue stripe. Sounded great to me.
    1+2 = McGuirk, 2+4 = She's hot, 6-4 = Happy McGuirk

        Had both,...Sold both!
I just couldn't get the same tone out of them as I could my Mark IIC+ short chassy head.
Couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between the blue and the green stripe mark III's. They both seem to of had the same amount of gain and the same tone.
Not bad amps tho!, they have tons of gain if that's what you want and if you're on a budget and don't have the bucks for a Bogner, VHT, Soldano or whatever.
