AMT Cali. Sound?

Has anyone used one of these? The clips on
their site are ungodly. Will it work in front of
an already-driven amp, or do they need a clean
amp?

I've got their Extreme III and really like it. It can be used as a boost in an already distorted amp, but it works better for me into a clean amp. AMT also recommends them to be used with a clean amp.

AMT makes absolutely fanstastic pedals and they really sound like the clips posted online.

Good enough. the Cali's on my porch waiting for
me to pick it up. I notice on their website they
say their pedals are good for going direct. Have
you tried them like this, and what's your impression?

Speaking of the online clips--which are great--does
anyone know what the signal chain was on them?
