Hit up the music shop today and did the usual sweep, fuck all jackson content, no guitars falling off the wall for me to play so I look at fx and notice some really good prices. Way better then ebay! This is unheard of for a brick and mortar here. So I continue to the $$ room to see if theres any cool guitars in there, and see they still have the JSX I tried out and loved. Signed by Joe when he was out here on tour with G3. What the fuck? The tag says $1799! These retail for $2995. I was given a 'cash price' of $2399. But not a signed one. And when the sales staff was searching for the cab number I read over the shoulder at the product sheet and seen they get them for ~$1770!!

This is 30 bucks on top of cost!

I'm saving up for one of these, and it seemed a long way off. All together I can scrape up $1821. Its do or die....anyone gone poor for a week or two to grab a sweet deal?

Used ones are in the $800us range here as they lose value fast and at $1800 you're just short of used Bogner territory out this way...

Pretty cool amp to have tho. And yeah, I've starved to own stuff. Being a broke sorta guy, buying both my CAE3+se and my VHT were painful experiences. And as poor as I currently am, it's hard to sit and look at them knowing I could pull $3000 out of them right now to cover some pressing issues. I just can't do it tho...

yes the JSX. Sweet amp and very versitle. If you can swing the asking cost man, I would get it. Sell your current amp if you like the JSX better and get some of the money back that way.

I tried it, got pissed off it sounded SOOOOO good, and said fuck it its too expensive, and went to a cheaper amp to buy. I had the same experience with the Deizel VH4 Head.

K so my family is dead set against the idea. I totally respect their opinions, and they make great points. But this is rock'n'roll damnit! I'm gonna lead with my heart not my brain!

So I went in there today and played it again. MY GOD!! Took a mate with me and he was the devil on my shoulder I needed. Put down a few hundred and will pick it up once I smooth things over. I forgot about layaway! 8 weeks, should be done comfortably.

Oh, and they were spewing that it was going, def a cool piece of gear for a killer price. The heads cardboard box even has a G3 sticker on it

and yeah aussie dollars. Guitars can be alright price wise, but amps take a massive hit. Its not like you can import them either, they use different transformers for the voltage/frequency. Mesa dual rec was $3495 on sale ($4595 rrp?) and diesels are specialist imported and about $7k+. This is a fucking bargain!
