  • Line6 Spider III 75 watt amp...wheres the presets??

I picked this one up today at SamAsh.. for what i thought was a great
price, only to get it home, and not see an LED screen, or any of the
artists presets?? Do you have to upload everything from the internet?
But then how do you see them, if all this HD75 has is twist knobs?
I think i need to just get the PODxt pro floor unit. I was figuring i
would be able to scroll thru the 250 presets...but there is nothing but
Drive-Bass-Mid-treble-Master and then 2 effects knobs with 3 effects
each for a total of 6. 2 at a time. Where are the ARTIST presets dammit! LOL I think i already know the answer...but i think i need to spend
more than $250 on a line6 product. I dont want to have to buy a floor unit, just to be able to navigate around this thing? Help!

that's messed up. I demo'd a Spider III 2x12 recently just for kicks at GC and it had the LCD window with a knob next to it, to scroll through all the artist presets.

    your does not have that?
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Looks like on their site the HD -150 watt DOES have it on the front panel.
      (LED window)
But then it costs about $525 Ill take it back tomorrow, as this thing
had no more than what my Roland Cube 30 has. It has 6 effects but
you can play all of them at one time! This HD 75 did sound pretty good,
it just didnt do everything...and i need EVERYTHING! :-))

I need the floor unit Podxt pro. That one is supposed to have 2/3rds of
the Vetta II sounds in it, plus 400 Pod patches.

Only the Spider III 150 watt head has the artist presets, not the 75 watt model.

And back she goes! Misleading print on the outside of the box, showing
all the "Artist" song patches... but really on the 75, it just means that
you "Could" create all of these songs, inside the 6 different effects, and
4 different amp mods! I'll learn.

If you would have tried it out in the store, then you would have known about it.

Not to hijack the thread, but is the Flextone III between the Spider III and Vetta II in the Line 6 universe? Are the Spider and Flextone sort of equal but different?

Like an idiot, i thought it was a super discounted "last item"!
Then i noticed on the Sam Ash website, that it was a normal price!
Plus i was in a hurry, as i had a truck full of supplies in the back,
and just ran in to check out some of the line 6 stuff quickly, but
got caught up, in thinking this was a smokin deal, so i just grabbed it.

NO. Not even close. The Flextone is more like the Vetta than the Spider. The Spider is a toy by comparison.

I have the 75Wt 1x12 Spider III and I have the LED screen with the artist presets. They, for some stupid reason, made two versions of the Spider III, one with the LED and one without.

If you have a Floorboard, you can get into them - they kinda make it that way so you HAVE TO buy the expensive pedal to really work the amp. Good idea for marketing, but sucks as a user.
