  • Need pedalboard advice

Ok, my rack consists of, from top to bottom: Furman PL8 Power conditioner, space(for tuner), ADA MP1, Alesis Midiverb 4, BBE 422a, Carvin T100, Space(I want to put an EQ in here), Rack Mount Mesa 50 cal. Now, I have an ABY switcher to go between both the rack rig and the 50 cal, but I need to find a good midi pedal board to setup about 5-8 presets with the MP1 AND Midiverb switching together. I have been just suffering without using effects I want during songs, and changing it up by hand in between songs. Some ideas on a good pedal board that can do what I need? and maybe that isn't 7598036790235473580346754302958 dollars?

+1......best bang for the buck. You can send program changes on six differnt channels and send 5 continuos controller changes per program. Should be able to find one for around $100 used on ebay.
      Good deals with:
      Metal Medal II, Tonyl11

I'm assuming you've used it before, is there any lag between switching presets? I'm gunna need to switch in the middle of songs quite often.

No lag at all. MidiMates are of excellent value and troublefree. Used one for many years.

The MIDI Mate doesn't introduce lag. However, your other gear may have lag issues.

Hmmmm, Well, I'm digging the Midi Mate, I think I'm gunna try it out. Thanks guys. You know, I spend more time working on and fine tuning my rack than I do writing songs.... Oh well.....

I use a Rolls Midibuddy that I got brand new for $90.00. I am extremely satisfied with it. I don't know about the Midi Mate, but the Midibuddy can use the 7 pin midi cable for phantom power, eliminating the need for a wall wart for it. The MP-1 supports the 7 pin cable.

Yes, the Midi Mate supports phantom midi power, so does the All Access which I've used for few years.

ART X-15 , I got one off fBay for 55 bucks.
I'm a total midi noob but it works well with
my JMP-1 and Inteliflex rig so far.

+1 on the Midimate. I have been using one for about 14 years with no problems.
