  • I've been bitten by the bug...

I went to GC and played several amps today with my Jackson and fell in love with the JSX head. IMO, it's the best sounding amp I've seen for what I want for under $2000. I love the fact that I can get really nice sounds at sane volume and it sounds great cranked up. Interestingly I ended up selling my Jackson while there and bought another Jackson. The one I got is the DKMG with the transparent black top and EMG's. IMO it was the best sounding guitar in the whole place. Nice big fat sound with just the right balance between bite and growl. I don't even like EMG's all that much either... Go figure. I may swap the '85 in the neck slot with the '81 in the bridge. I'm a bit more into the warmer sound it produces. Any thoughts on this idea?

you may like the 85 in the bridge...i am one of the guys who thinks it doesnt sound all that great. but they are easy to switch and if you dont like the 85 in the bridge you can swap them back in a minute or two.
