Decimator through the effects loop?

I got an ISP Decimator the other week and have finally gotten around to trying to connect it correctly without much luck. I have it setup like Send -> Input -> Output -> Return and it's running through a 5150 II. It sort of works, but either muffles the sound or makes it too quiet. Any suggestions?

put it in front of the amp. That's how I run mine.

I just bought the Pro Rack G version today that will go infront and through the loop.
