Heard a guy rippin through a Peavey XXX today at the local GC.. WOW!
Brutal sounding. I was impressed. Although as we all know, it was
50% the guys talent, and 50% the Peavey! But very impressive with its
dark scooped death tone! (head thru 2 Peavey matching 4/12 cabs) I thought to myself, "Wonder why i read a few
posts where some guys think the XXX ISNT enough 80's metal sounding?
If an Uberschall is much more... i dont know if i could take it!
The dude was playing through a Jackson RR5 i think? Seemed to be
EMG 85/81's from 20 feet with my old eyes!
