yeah, the 20/20 is worth looking at, but if you've got the money, the vht is a great amp. Incredibly solid and sounds amazing (to someone that owned a marshall el34 power amp) i was under the impression it can run either el34s or 6l6s...?

If money is no object... get the VHT.

Personally.. for playing at home... a nice 1 x 12 modeling combo with a 1 x 12 extension speaker so that you can run in true wide stereo would do just fine.

I heard that if you plug a modeling processor into a VHT power amp you have to go to confession.

Why stop there. I say you go for 4 4 x 12 cabs, 2 on each side for home use.

You know the old saying.. whatever blows your skirt up!

I have cabs for all situations:
              • a pair of Boogie Thiele ported 1x12 cabs with V30's
              • a pair of LopoLine 2x12 cabs with V30's (these sound particularly good because they are covered in green tolex).
              • a pair of 4x12 cabs - one is a Marshall that can run in stereo/mono with 75 watt Celestions (this is purple so it too sounds better than typical cabinets), the other is an Avatar V30
In our practice room, I run the rack in stereo spread very wide. I have a 2x12 cabinet by me and a 1x12 cab behind the drums. It works great like that.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
