  • Questions on Speaker impedance...or can i

do this with my incoming VHT 2/90/2 rack amp.

Right now, im running 2) Crate G212S 2/12" cabs.. PLUS my 4/12
Kustom cab out of my SS Peavey CS200 stereo amp.
I have one 2/12" Crate and the 4/12" Kustom on the left channel (2 lefts out, and 2 rights on the back of the Peavey)
And i just have the one Crate 2/12" for the right channel. These coming from the Boss GT-8

The 4/12 cab is 8 ohms.. both the Crates are sectable 4/ or 16 ohms
mono, or 8 ohms (stereo) Seems to be fine.. but "Fine" is just a Solid
State $200 amp! I dont want to create a problem with the VHT/
So can i always do any combination, as long as the ohms of the cabs
are equal or more than the rating of the output of the amp?

hmmm, you are better off putting the 2 crates on one side, setting them at 16 ohms each, then putting the poweramp on 8 ohms for that side, then putting the kustom on the other side set at 8 ohms. that way you are running the amp with a consistent load - 8 ohms per side.
    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

****************** Thanks! Will try that (i just like what
the 4/12 adds for bottom end. I can hear it, over the 2/12 cabs
