  • Well.. VHT Fat Bottom 4/12 cab is a monster!

Had one for a few days.. not cheap! (maybe you do get what you
pay for? I A/B'd this VHT with (what i thought was a good sounding cab)
My Kustom from around 1990 with Celestion 70's in it. And the Kustom
sounds like a muffled TURD! Night and Day from the focused, chimey
brutal..(lets see can i think of any more superlatives?) Tone! If there is
another 4/12 cab that sounds better than a FB VHT i dont even care!
As soon as i recover from what i paid for it...i'll start saving for a
2/12 FB cab for my left channel "B" out of the 2/90/2.
As Marcus from VHT put it.."We try to create a neutral sounding
non coloring cabinet".. what you hear is YOU! Marshalls sound like
Marshalls...MB's sound like Mesa's"... VHT's sound like YOU"!
He said NOTHING made is tighter or more focused than a FB cabinet.
    Good stuff!

Congrats on those. I know you're smiling.

Ya got my interest, never heard one and now after reading your comments and the factory thoughts on them, I want to. Nice to hear some input on those man.

I knew you'd be impressed getting away from the cheaper cabs. And you certainly made a big step. I figured you'd snag a cheap Marshall and you jump in balls deep with a VHT. Ya need another 4x12! haha...

New Marshalls around $700-1050 depending on what you get, MESA's are right around $900-1000 arent they? Guess that's not too off the hook....

I tried out those... they are damn good cabs. Ended up going with oversized Recto cabs to handle the low end.
          Insert annoying equipment list here....

************* On Sale !! Whoo hoo... only $1029.00!
So with tax, and considering i got a great deal on my VHT 2/90/2
stereo rack power amp, i have only $2200.00 into a half stack!!
Ouch..but it rips I use the VHT 4/12 for my left channel,
and use 2 Crate 212S cabs (each with (2ea) 12" celestion 80's in them)
for my "right" B' channel. Sounds fantastic, but soon i will replace these
two Crate cabs for a 2/12 VHT Fat Bottom cab. Then i will only have
$3000 into a 3/4 VHT stack! But i know some of you have spent
over $10K or more) on your quest for the perfect amp and cabs?

Shit I've got 5K between the Powerball and the Cobra. I want an Uberschall too but I want to free the money from the Powerball up first.
              1+2 = McGuirk, 2+4 = She's hot, 6-4 = Happy McGuirk

Stuff adds up quick. Playing onstage for 50-100 bucks and seeing you are sporting 10 grand in equipment is sorta freaky tho...

Now I'm gonna ruin it for ya...I paid $525.00 for my VHT FB with p50E's Great cabs but I think the bogner 4x12 wit v30's takes the cake for me in terms of 4x12

** same as every "hunter" around the USA! Spend $2500.00 on your
equipment...come back with a small buck that gives you about 40 lbs
                    of meat. :-)

But you have connections! Heck there were only 3 VHT cabs in
the entire state of Arizona, and i got 1! But yeah, i saw one on sale
for $600 but it was in the UK! Shipping would have cost $300 and who
knows this guy? I could be sending $900 out into the wild blue yonder..
Im ok with this overpay, because of the sound quality! You know
                      what im talkin about.
