  • My Hiwatt story..

I was opening for Zebra back around 1986 and my Hiwatt head caught on fire on stage.
I am not bashing Hiwatt though. :ROTF:

Anything to start a thread. A sentence of a story..comon, give.
What year of amp was it? Did you have a backup, what took place.. where in the set...did it fizzle gradually or just kaboom, fuses blew, no more signal. How long did it take to change or was the set over and you were done playing?

That's pretty cool that you opened for Zebra in '86. I liked them. "Who's Behind the Door" was a good song.

hmm, ya might want to consider a Carlsbro 50-60 or a Roost 100.
They had similarities to a Hiwatt. Namely Partridge transformers.
I think old Laney Supergroups had them as well.
