Dunlop 535Q sounds and feels right to me..I keep it a notch or two on the darker side.
I like the switchless fuction of the Morleys..

Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
I used to borrow a friend's 70's Crybaby. It made any crap I played sound like Voodoo Chile. It was THAT cool.
Then I bought into technology and got a Bad Horsie. Very bad donkey. It's tone was thin and lifeless but fetched a good eBay price.
A couple weeks ago I borrowed a Ruby wah for one show. It was chrome, priced under $100, and sounded pretty damn good. I think I'll buy one of those.
I think I understand why some folks complain about the bad horsie. In the toe up position (heel completely down), the pedal really thins out. The bass (and balls) totally disappear. Fortunately, for me, I can't really work the pedal in a manner that I can place it completely in the toe up position. This is due to an injury from years ago. So, the spring loaded board, and the fact that I have to work the pedal in a limited manner, really allows me to exploit the sweet spot of the wah's sweep.
The lack of bass in the toe up position happens in the bad horsie mode. I haven't had time to fully explore the contour functions.
Not having to work a push button switch, as on the Dunlop pedals, is a huge plus for me as well.
Currently I am running it into a Mesa F-50. Although it sounds ok with the amp, when I run the amp clean and use a DS-1 for gain, the pedal really comes alive.
My wah use involves using it when I'm holding a note, or perhaps to highlight a particular phrase. I'm not using it for a "Voodoo Chile" or "70's porn music" vibe. For those types of applications, I believe the Budda has a distinct edge (now that I have tried one).
