Oh my, I did not mean to pee on anyone's parade!!

No No No..I still LOVE my JMP-1, and people pee on that..but I make it work for me...I kick ass with it!!

If it works for you and ya dig it, that's all that counts..I think more than half your tone is in your hands anyway..I'm a firm believer in that..

Pete does know what he's talking about when it comes to "quality"..it's what he does, and knows..he's a very reliable source when it comes tro that shit!

I can't waite to play the JVM..that and that 5150 III...

I'm set, I'm VERY happy with my Uberschall and Marshal rack...but I always like trying cool amps..

Nope. And dont think I am going to either. But I just played one in a dark-room at guitar center over the weekend. It sounded too "open" IMO. But its got that Eddie's sound. It does not sound like the 5150 and too many knobs IMO. Power and standby are at the back of the amp. Front panel has no space left to accomodate them.

So does that mean the JVM sounds better. Not really...just to me it does. Everyone needs to decide what sounds good to them on their own
If people followed that advise ... well you make to much sense!

You gotta go what works for you..

What works for Eric Johnson doesn't work for Yngwie Malmsteen, and they pratcically use the same shit..go figure.

The "tone" you seek is in your head and hands...go find it!!!

I've had 5 splawns in the past 2 years, Kept giving them a try and wanted it to work out but they're just not for me, it's really a one trick pony amp.

As far as Dual or Triple recs are concerned, they don't cover the Marshall sound.

I've had no noise issues with my JVM It's a real quiet amp and kicks ass all the way around!
Pretty quick... everyone around here is going to be talking about the
king of versatility... EVH III Although certainly a bit more $'s.
But having a Fender Twin... Plexi...and VHT in one amp head is a
plus i would think for gigging?

there are marshall heads that have been around for a long time with no issue
True, but they were built much better. I checked this head out and it did sound nice, but the build quality was awful for something in that price range. I also had an amp tech comment on the poor build quality and shortcuts taken on this model...definitely not roadworthy was his take.

I know, I keep getting drawn back into this... but KV2002, you said I 'used to be cool' - how many screen names have you had? Anyways...

Damn Marshall for being an international company... here's what I read awhile back, and still on their UK website:

9f -My unit is faulty but still under warranty what should I do?
If your unit is under warranty you need to get into contact with the dealer you purchased it through and they will arrange the repair on your behalf.

That part looks to me like you'd have to take it back to the dealer you bought it from and THEY would facilitate the warranty repair.

Here's the better USA info - but there's still a catch: According to this you do have to have a proof of purchase.
