I think more people should look into the new JVM from Marshall. In fact, I don't like Marshalls at all but this one may surprise anyone! It's extremely versatile and has the classic as well the modern tones on board. I use an ENGL Fireball which is definitely NOT usable in a top 40 coverband he he but if I were I'd consider the Marshall JVM a very good option. Guys, go test it!

Hey guys! Im on vacation here for the last week and all and have been in LA for a few days!
Hit the SUNSET STRIP!!
HELL YEAH!
Anyway, besides kick ass shows at the Whiskey, and a secret Velvet relvolver show here last night, I had a killer time at the guitar alley!
Hit samash, GC, and a trade shop!!!
Got to Play a JSX, a XXX and a Diezle Herbert!!
The JSX and xxx were ok, but pretty close sans the compression.
If I werent playing in a bar band, the JSX would be a great tool for some instrumental stuff...
The xxx.. eh... not too exciting but a great deal for the money!!
GC had a friggen Diezle Herbert.
And this amp freeking knocked my ass off!!
It was an instant love affair!
I mean i havent felt this way about a girl......
I mean an amp EVER!!!
It did everything I ever wanted an amp to do!
I mean, i got everything from the chugga's from the Justice For All mix Bob Rock produced to the Pantera rhytmns to searing leads that made me think I was on YJM's rig to me think I was playing a Clapton strat at the Crossroads festival!
I've truley never been more impressed!
Problem-
PRICETAG!!
I dont know if I dont want to afford it or cant afford it????
Either way, Im, not going to afford it at 4K plus.
Worth the money- YOU BET!!
DAMN!~
Crys & weeps..
Too steep for me...
I'll have to check out some of these other amps recommended her ewhen I get home and find some time!
Thanks again!
More updates to come!

Based on that set list, I would go with a Bogner XTC."You have a pud..your wife has a face. Next time she bitches..I'd play cock bongos on her cheeks..all four of them!" - Bill Z.
I just just had a sudden urge to sugga dick..! If I wore that guitar and didn't suck male genitalia..somethin' is very wrong! - Bill Z.

I've got to do this...Mesa Mark IV. Seriously it's still my flagship. It'll nail it all. The diversity of tones in that setlist isn't really that great to begin with, so I'd go with a couple of really solid tones and a couple of effects and playing with your volumeknob.
In all honesty the Randall modules are going to give you heaps more of versatility, but in terms of pure unadulterated balls-to-the-wall tone I don't know. A Diezel Herbert is versatile and sounds really hifi, which is something I like a lot, and isn't hard to dial into. A Cobra is similar and rocked my world. Even a pod through a tube poweramp could work, that's versatility out the wazoo.Last edited by GodOfRhythm; 07-07-2007, 07:56 PM.You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I have the older Quickrod with shared EQ (looks like a plexi) an dit kicks much ass in the hot rodded Marshall realm of things, mine nails teh early VH stuff but can get much heavier as well.
You set list isnt too strange to me that would force me into SS or modeller territory (vetta) I'm sure they would work for you but good tone is good tone when its yours If I were playing that set, probabally use my 101Bshawnlutz.com
