hey one of my band mates just dropped this off at my house, I've heard it before and it's pretty awesome, but does anyone know some information besides "its like the mark iv with less features" at least thats what someone has told me. Also, anyone know what the footswitch looks like? he doesnt have one.

I had one for a year. I was a 50 watt head, Kinda small as in diddnt fit the top of my speaker cab. I could get some crazzy Black sabatth out of it. Cleans were pretty good to. I really like the 5 band eq, but I think it only worked on one of the two channels. You can put any amp switch in it to switch channels, but the is a special 3 way one for switching the eq on and off.

        Dc5

I have had my DC-5 for the past 4 or 5 years. I love it! Mine is the combo amp version with 1/15 black shadow speaker. It's got 2 channels, 5 band graphic EQ, build in reverb, yadda...

The pedal that came with mine looks like this:

The other pedal that someone else mentioned here effects the Graphic EQ looks like this:

There is a pedal that does both here:

I knew all those mindless afternoons of surfing mesa's website would pay off some day...

I have a widebody combo version and its a great amp. there should be a pdf manual on mesa's site. I use mine with the mesa 3/4 back widebody 1x12 extension cab. Both speakers are C90's which I like.

I think its a way underrated amp and best bang for the buck for a 2 ch 50 watt 6L6 amp. I got mine a few years ago on ebay for like 550 or 575. I typicually have the the EQ on all the time on the lead channel. Also the clean channel is pretty good for clean but if you pull out the gain and get up there past 8 or so it sounts classic rock'ish...will sream if you slam the front of it with a OD pedal. Play aroud with it...its a tweaker amp so give it some time an dyou'll end up liking it

Alright yesterday I really got to turn this amp up, I knew lamb of god used Mark IV's and my friend who has a DC-5 said they were kind of similar, so I worked from there. Oh my god does this amp scream, I put it on 3 and it was so loud. Playing along with Laid to rest was awesome. I'm definitely going to have to get one of these!

How is it at low volumes? Most of the mark series amps sound great at bedroom level as well as loud, is the DC-5 that way? I had a DC-2 and a DC-3 years ago, but they're EL84 amps and act a little different.

Yes, but only with the Graphic EQ activated, that opens the amp up at low volumes, but makes it shine when its loud
