  • hooking up a crate power block

    Yes I did try searching for this already

    However what I found was for applications not like mine. I have bought a Crate power block. Along with the crate 1x12 that was made for it. I want to run my GNX1 through this set up. What is the best way to do this.

    Guitar>GNX1>PowerBlock>Speaker

    or

    Guitar>PowerBlock>Speaker... with the GNX1 going in the loop?

    If you suggest the loop. Which port, the IN or OUT or actually make a loop with the GNX1?

    Thanks for any input.

    Are you using the GNX as an fx unit or the preamp?

    If it's the preamp, the first line,

    If it's the fx, the second one.
    I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

      I want to use the amp models it has. So pre-amp it is. Guess I could of figured that out myself. Thanks.

        i like to run the modeling pre's like this

        guitar->modeling preamp pedal->FX return on powerblock->speaker.

        this way the powerblock is only used for power. with all volume, eq, and effects controled by the modeling pre you are using.
