i just got a peavey xxx 60 watt 1-12 combo off of ebay, love the amp so far! but my foot switch quit workin today.it worked fine yesturday. it wont switch from crunch to ultra and the effects loop switch doesnt seem to be workin either. both stopped lighting up. my clean switch works and lights up still....what could be the problem??? i dont want to spend 70 bux on a new foot switch if i can fix this one. thanx for any help!!

Is it a two button footswitch with a red and green LED's and two buttons? I think I was able to use the same footswitch with a peavey XXX combo and the 5150. Get some contact cleaner first and clean the footswitch jack and plug. I think a similar problem happened once on my 5150. And you dont need to pay $70 for a new footswitch. I got mine on eBay for $25. If you go through the peavey website they do charge you a lot.

hmm. I dont think I;ve seen or used that footswitch before. try cleaning the jack and plug with some contact cleaner.SamComment

oh, wow! That switch has a completely different connection than what I had envisioned. I don't think the contact cleaner will help. But give it a shot. Sorry, I cannot offer much help from my side. Good luck!!SamComment

Contact Peavey CS by email or phone; I have a used Peavey Triumph PAG combo I bought from Ebay, and the footswitch was cutting out. I bought a replacement on Ebay but the 3-button DIN footswitches are NOT all wired the same! So I contacted Peavey and they had me send them both footswitches, which they rewired the one and repaired the other, FOR FREE!
Not saying they'll do it for free but if they charge you $20 to replace the end or a bad switch you're still better off than either a new Peavey switch or a used one from ebay that (A) may not work, or (B) may also fail after you get it.Ron is the MAN!!!!Comment

check inside for loose connections. maybe the cable has a bad wire or loose connection.Comment
