The Twin is the way to go. An AC30 is a great sounding amp, but it won't have anywhere near the headroom of the Twin in a live application.

The JC120 does loud and clean very well, but as someone already mentioned, it is very sterile and undynamic. That said, if you use a lot of processing, it may be the best option out there.

Genz Benz El Diablo has a very nice clean tone and a whole bunch of other sounds too. Check it out.

Go for a Rivera combo...

I'd also recommend auditioning a Rivera combo before you settle on an amp. And be sure to check out the push/pull function on the mid knob on the clean channel. It's almost like having a second amp, as it really changes the basic sound of that channel.

And Riveras have a parallel loop like you want with separate send and return levels.

If you're interested in anything outside of Fender, I would look at

Bruno Cowtipper (used, a bit above your range, I've seen them at $1300)

Or Clark (I heard great cleans off their Deluxe in NYC recently)

i'm going to agree with the recommendations for the twin, rivera, and the nomad.
