  • Digitech GSP1101

I've sold a few odds and ends and am preordering one of these:

I wish I had seen this when I was putting together some pedals to use with my F-50. The ability to totally bypass the modeling stuff and run the preamp type effects in front of the amp and the delays, etc. in the loop is a big attraction for me. I haven't played any Digitech stuff in years, so hopefully I won't be let down on the sound quality.

This appears to be a low cost, mass produced alternative to the AxeFX that Fractal Audio makes. If the GSP1101 is disappointing, I might go the AxeFX route.

Looking at the manual, the RJ45 jack will have a "future use". I'm betting that it will be for a floor controller (as Line 6 does).

hadn't heard of these. Looks cool. Sounds similar to the GT-8's 4-cable method

Very cool, if its $450? But if its $900, maybe a bit too pricey?
      So roughly how much?

        $499.99

I've heard of people doing the same with the 4 cable method on a GT-8, but some folks say the GT-8 Pro will not allow that.

Also, can you totally turn off/bypass the modelling features on the GT-8? I've always like Boss products, but I want to be able to totally switch off the modelling stuff.

This thing is designed for the 4 cable method and not turn your tone to shit. I would really be interested in hearing this thing. Sounds pretty cool. Musicians friend have them for 499.95
