I have an old 4x12 cab I just got, it needs new speakers.

I have an old Bassman 50 head I just got, which is 8 ohms I believe.

What ohm speakers do I want and how do I wire them so I don't fry the Bassman?

I have never wired a cab before ( ), and don't quite understand all this ohms talk...

You can wire 4 2ohm speakers in series (2+2+2+2)

You can wire 4 32 ohm speakers in parallel. I can't find the formula however.

Or you can wire 4 8 ohm speakers in a series / parallel split.
