talking about kreator, mille's live 5150 sound absolutely crushes sami's powerball sound....for rhythms anyways. i think for leads sami has the better sound, but then again sami is a way better lead player than mille can ever be.
also, kreator's latest "enemy of god" was recorded through the rhythm channel of a 5150 with a tubescreamer as a boost. kickass thrash tone if you ask me, destroys violent revolution which was a mesa racktifier IIRC.
My freind said the same thing about the 5150 VS Powerball..when he was on Beyound fear Tour..he wasn't totally happy with them. He came over thrre time and jammed with my son with my Uber and loved it..but he just bought a house and didn't have the coin..he's a manager a GC and uses 6505s now..likes them better..I tolf him about the old BBe 422s..wonder if he ever checked into that..
I'm going to go over there soon and visist him..play the JSX again and may as well try that JVM for shits and giggles..oh, and that Randall Pete likes!

That's cool. He's playing a King V. I haven't seen them live, probably 10-15 years or so. He always used to play a RR1 the times I saw them, but I had heard he had a KV as well. Recently, he's been connected with Moser guitars supposedly. I guess he prefers his Jacksons.
The bridge pickup looks like it could be an EMG. Or are my eyes that bad?
The black King V has been the guitar mostly used on stage lately, at least as far as I know. If you have the Live Kreation double CD, you can see it´s a King V form in the photos printed on the actual CDs.
Just checked out my recent live photage of Kreator and the TV show from "Live at Rock Palast" in late 2005 shows all the equipment quite well. There are clear pics of 5150 heads and the black King V, but I have to give you correct for the EMG in the bridge theory... The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan though.

Best (IMHO) thrash metal band ever and one of the true original bands in the genre. Of course Jackson devoted too... What I would go after if that´s the tone you´re after. Make sure you´re on Seymour Duncans too and no EMG crap..
That sounds pretty good. I like Testament and others much more. Death is very good also. I may just replace the speakers in my cab instead of replacing the whole cab with a Marshall cab. I can get G12T-75 speakers pretty easily. If I got a 2203/4 I could use it`s pre-amp or try the ADA or others to tweak and also try the BBE Sonic Maximizer of course
Appreciate the help fellas!! I guess I jumped the gun on the USA stuff as I guess I am just tired of all of the crap coming out of China. Yes, I would go for other amps made in England, Canada, etc if they sounded good One of these days I will go out and try various amps and see how it goes. I don`t need crushing Bass, just enough to do Thrash and Speed Metal up to Master Of Puppets tone, that`s enough bass. I do want it loud, I like playing loud where you hair is blowing back, so if that meens on 10, so be it Hell, I play on a half stack now in my dining room!! I just feel I am missing something in my tone and sound, so I nead to shuffle things around to get some of that certain tone I am looking for. Thanks-Jack.
