The thing that I have found is you can use the same settings, play the same thing, (riff, lick, etc) and you'll get two different sounding clips just based upon hand dynamics. You think you are playing the riff the exact same way, but for some reason, one clip will come out with better top end clarity overall. Its subtle, but you can hear it in the playbacks.

pretty cool, I know and have jammed with one of the artists on that vid, Peter DiStefano, was in Porno for Pyros. great guy, he uses a Flextone and a Variax, but is not endorsed by Line6. he is a straight shooter and if he likes this thing, he's not faking it.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

i wonder if the bogner power amp would make that much of a difference.
unless you are getting that powertube to sag and distort, there really is no point in having a tube power section.
maybe some of you amp builders can chime in here....

You can get the power tubes distort the same way a full tube amp works; basically shove mroe information through them they can handle. why would they not distort with a SS preamp? As I said before, MusicMan did it in the 70s and it sounded great.

I stopped by GC today and asked the salesman about it, and he was like what? I explained the combo to him and really didnt believe me. Is it even out yet? or is the Vid for promotional purposes (want something you cannot have deal, till they come out)

                  It's just a teaser video.

They're on a preorder basis right now. You can get them from MF or a number of dealers listed on Line 6 website.
                        40 Watts, the 1x12 combo is 700.00, the 2x12, 830.00.

MusicMan amps sounded great but you are comparing digital to SS/Fet.

I always thought the MM were stiff/tight sounding but had a good deal more depth and low end with the deep/bright switches and power switching.
It was great for rhythm, but it needed a boost of sorts in front. The clean channel worked off the same master with a 3 band so the cleans pretty much would be somewhat distorted. Lead work often felt like I was fighting the amp to get more liquid. Overall though, a great amp and very reliable.
