Rocktron cameleon

I found a cameleon 2000 are they any good or as good as an ADA MP-1?
Pros/cons ?

I haven't really messed with the ADA but I have a Chameleon and you can dial up pretty much anything you want on it. Mine is the model before the 2000, it's the aqua color. The Chameleon can also be hooked up to your computer so you can download patches other people have made and load up one you have made.

hmm, had the Rocktron before and the ADA now. The Rocktron is quieter and has more than just chorus built in. I think the ADA's are temperamental, there good sounding ones and bad sounding ones (years ago I had a bad sounding one, now I have a good sounding one). where as the Rocktrons sound the same. I prefer the Voodu Valve to both of them but, it costs more. The ADA does one tone GREAT ('80's rock) and has a distinctive clean (think 1st Mr. Big album). The Rocktron a lot of good tones and is way more versatile. Do what I did, buy it used, play around with it if you don't like it (or have no need for it), sell it for the same money.

My guitar teacher uses one during lessons and he says the older version is better. Defintively worth it, very cool guitar tones (although he can sound good in anything).

I may trade for it this weekend He is asking $300.00 for it,it comes with a midi foot controller.looks real clean.

I wouldn't pay $300 for one , even if it came with a pedal. Get on off ebay and buy a pedal.

So, unless he's got an 15 pedal he's selling with it, you can most likely get them cheaper online.

You *DO NOT* want the Chameleon 2000. It is not the same as the original. The functionality is dumbed down and doesn't sound as good. The original black face Chameleon and the blue Chameleon Online are identical except for the face plate and a few presets.

Since I bought my Blue Face back in the mid 90's I haven't really paid attention to any of the newer ones. I didn't know they weren't as good. Now i know what not to recommend.
