I just got a brand new PodXT today, played for a couple of hours with no problems. I stopped playing to get something to eat, then I come back, and there is something wrong. I don't get any sound out of it. I am plugging straight in and using headphones. I thought maybe my guitar cable had shorted out, so I tried a couple different ones, still nothing. When I turn the POD on, there is a loud crackling noise, and when I hit the strings really hard, sound comes through, but only for a second. It's almost as if there is a noise gate with the threshhold set WAY too high. It does this on every single preset though so I don't think it can be the way I have things set up either. I didn't touch any settings since I played it for the first time. Is my POD faulty, or is there something simple I can do to fix it?

    Thanks

Don't know, but that sucks. I have a POD 2.3 that I mess with.
